About
Courtney
Courtney began working with dogs at a very young age, volunteering at animal shelters, shadowing veterinarians, participating in school animal clubs, and helping raise the family's pets, including dogs, cats, and various creatures.
Throughout her teenage years, Courtney worked as a veterinary technician at animal hospitals in Memphis, Tennessee. It was during this time, at the age of 18, that Courtney began a career in canine behavior.
Courtney holds degrees in Animal Behavior Science and Psychology from Montana State University. As a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, Courtney continues to learn and build skills, offering the best positive reinforcement training techniques to clients.
With 15 years of experience in training and working with dogs, Courtney's training philosophy is based on fostering a cooperative bond and mutual respect between owner and dog. This is achieved through impulse control training methods, redirected behaviors, and alternative behaviors to set appropriate expectations for dogs.
Courtney believes that owner-involved training methods are key to creating a lifelong bond with dogs, leading to endless rewards for both the owner and the dog.
